Queen’s South Africa Medal 1899-1902
This medal was awarded for service in South Africa between 11 October 1899 and 31 May 1902.
A total of 26 clasps were issued. The most common were South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902. Then came the five ‘State’ clasps, Cape Colony, Natal, Rhodesia, Orange Free State and Transvaal awarded for smaller actions in those States.
There were a further 19 clasps awarded separately for major actions.
