Rolls Royce Armoured Car
The original design of the Rolls Royce armoured car goes back to 1914 and the start of WW1. It is based on the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost chassis and 120 were made.
The Sharpshooters were issued with a number of these vehicles in the inter war years.
It had a crew of 3 and was armed with a single .303in Vickers machine gun.
It was a popular vehicle with a top speed of 45mph and weighed 4.7 tons.
Many recruits joined the Sharpshooters specifically so that they could drive a Rolls.
